Mark your calendars for Aug. 19, 2017. That is the date for the 16th Annual Garlic City Car Show. It starts at 10:00 am and the fun continues until 6:00 pm. Come to Downtown Gilroy and plan on spending the day looking at all the classic cars.

New this year is a big truck section. There will be three music stages with some of the best live and local musicians in the area.

Can you believe it? The Barn at Hoey Ranch is celebrating their five year anniversary already. My, how time flies.You know what else flies?

All the great primitive furniture and awesome farm and garden “Barntiquities” right out their doors. On June 29 at 5:00 pm, Jim and Debbie invite one and all to The Barn at Hoey Ranch to celebrate with them with a Gilroy Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.

CASA Center (Continuing Advancement for Special Adults) is excited as they prepare for their 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, at Eagle Ridge Golf Club. Warm up with a bucket of balls on the driving range, practice putting and then grab breakfast. Official tee off is 8:30 am. This best ball tournament combines other “fun” activities on the course including a hole-in-one challenge sponsored by Dixon Golf, closest to the pin and longest drive. The tournament fee is $175 per person ($600 for a team of four). Sponsorships are also available starting as low as $100. The lineup for the Salinas Rodeo Big Week Kick Off Concert is now complete. Amanda Watkins, a talented up-and-coming country music artist, will play Friday July 14, before A Thousand Horses takes the stage, warming the crowd up for the headliner, Kid Rock.Gates will open at 5:00 pm, Amanda will play at 7:00 pm and A Thousand Horses will go on at 8:00 pm. Kid Rock will start playing about 9:30 pm. Tickets are still available; prices are $20 for Upper Grandstand, $35 for Lower Grandstand and $75 for Standing Floor Seats.
