Being an active parent in our children’s Gilroy Unified School District education through volunteering as parent club treasurer, robotics instructor, cook, coach and much more has left me with an extreme respect for students, educators, and staff.  Being the spouse of an educator further emphasizes that!

Recently, our son went off to a university and this allowed me the experience of what it takes to provide him, our high school daughter, and other students with that type of successful learning environment.

Furthermore, graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, myself, and leading to a 23-year career as a computer engineer at Apple demonstrates my commitment and unique vision of what it takes to transition from academia to the highly competitive work force, especially as it pertains, but not limited to, technology.

STEAM is important regardless of the discipline our students end up focusing on as they transition and grow into a highly competitive workforce and as they self-actualize into valuable contributors to society. It is with students in mind that I eagerly venture to continue to support our school district as a governing board member.

Supporting our students and educators, while listening to parents and all stakeholders, translates directly to the well-being and success of our students.

Guiding the direction of the Gilroy Unified School District while being fiscally responsible is a task that I welcome. With your support we can do it.
