• Sponsored by the Silicon Valley YMCA with support from the Santa Clara County Library Foundation, Friends of the Cupertino Library and Second Harvest Food Bank, “Lunch at the Library” from 10 a.m. to noon provides free nutritious meals and educational activities for all youth younger than 18 at the San Martin Lion’s Club, 12415 Murphy Avenue, San Martin.

Garden Railroad Tour
• The Bay Area Garden Railway Society and South County Railroaders invite the public to the 23rd Annual Garden Railroad Tour that benefits the St. Joseph’s Center in Gilroy and the Food Bank of San Benito County. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. visit 10 model railways running through backyard gardens in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister and Aromas. Help those in need by bringing a non-perishable foot item to donate at any of the homes. Cash or check to St. Joseph’s Center or Food Bank of San Benito County are appreciated. Paws with Patriots Wine Gala
• Operation Freedom Paws will hold its annual Paws with Patriots Wine Gala from 5 to 7 p.m. at the nonprofit’s facility, 13920 Llagas Ave., San Martin. Enjoy an evening of dinner and wine, an auction and live music. Seating is limited. Eclipse story time at the library
• For the first time in 38 years a total eclipse will be visible in the continental United States. Santa Clara County residents will experience a 60 percent darkening of the sun. In preparation for the solar eclipse, everyone is invited to learn more about eclipses, what they are, how to safely view them.
