I was born and raised here in Gilroy and am happy to be back to raise my family and be part of this strong community. I am a Mother to two young boys and married to a local Special Education teacher. I am a 2nd grade teacher with Morgan Hill Unified and love what I do each day. I enjoy watching my children be involved in our community through the City of Gilroy Parks and Recreation Programs and Gilroy Little League.

My 14 years of classroom experience includes teaching a variety of grade levels second through sixth grades, teaching English Learners and students with Special Needs as well as supporting Gifted Students. I also spent five years mentoring new teachers across every grade level: TK through 12th grade. I am experiencing first-hand distance learning as a parent and as a teacher and I understand the struggles and successes that come along with it.

I am familiar with Gilroy schools and the foundational understandings of how schools function. I am invested in this community and especially our schools; knowing that I will be a parent in this district for the next 14 years. I want my children to have the best possible educational experiences and I also want every kid in our town to have that same opportunity.

Let’s bridge home and school! Let’s keep our high-qualified teachers here! I am ready to bring my experience and knowledge to the board. If elected, I know that with every decision I make, I will first ask myself, “Is this what is BEST for our students?” The children of our community deserve the best.
