Second Mondays

Parkinson’s Support Group
• This monthly meeting supports persons and caregivers affected by Parkinson’s disease. The group meets on the second Monday of each month from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. at Merrill Gardens in Gilroy. Details: please call (408) 691-5982.

Second, fourth Mondays

Lions Club Morgan Hill
• The Lions Club meets at Mama Mia’s, 275 E. Dunne Ave., at 7 p.m. They focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired, and many other local programs. Details: (408) 723-1018.

Tuesday and Thursday

Historical Museum Open
• The Gilroy Historical Museum, located at 195 Fifth St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first Saturday of the month.

Wednesdays

Wind Symphony Meets
• The Morgan Hill Wind Symphony meets from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Grace Hill Church, 16970 DeWitt Ave., Morgan Hill. Bring your instrument and join the group. Details: www.mhws.org.

Symphony Searching for Musicians
• The South Valley Symphony rehearses from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Solorsano Middle School in Gilroy. They are rebuilding in viola, cello, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, French horn, and percussion-timpani sections. Contact [email protected] or come to a rehearsal.

Toastmasters Meet

Exchange Club Meets

South Valley Wood Workers

Embroiderers Guild of America
• The Gavilan Hills Chapter seeks new members. Meet them at 10 a.m. through October. They meet at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, Madrone Room 17000 Monterey Road. Proof of vaccination required. Masks worn indoors. The mission of the EGA is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.

Thursdays

Duplicate Bridge

Pacheco Pass 4-H Club

Women in Touch II

Horsemen Meet

Saturdays

Running Group, Club Run
• The South Valley Running Club is hosting a group run at 8 a.m. Various distances. All levels are welcome. Membership is not required. Details: www.svrchome.org.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill house are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents welcoming visitors and providing tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some great new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the beautiful rose garden at leisure.

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Women’s Ride
• Get out with a supportive group of ladies for a 20-25-mile casual ride. New riders welcome. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 9:30 a.m. Road bike and drop handlebars required. Rain cancels. An RSVP at www.facebook.com/ridemorganhill is appreciated.

• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

OFP Crab Feed To-Go
• Operation Freedom Paws Crab Feed To-Go benefits the nonprofit. The Crab Feast To-Go is $65 and includes pasta with marinara sauce, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Not a fan of crab? No problem. They’ve got two tasty alternatives: Chicken Cordon Bleu Dinner is $50 and includes salad, fresh vegetables, garlic bread and dessert; or a Vegetarian Polenta Dinner that is $50 and includes salad, fresh vegetables, garlic bread and dessert. Book Sale
• The Gilroy Friends of the Library Book Sale is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, 350 W. 6th St. They are also looking for science fiction and fantasy book donations.

Feb. 25

GAL Grant Requests
• The Gilroy Assistance League is accepting grant requests that will benefit youth organizations, programs, and schools. In 2021, GALs gave out $16,000 to various youth services. A formal grant request proposal must be completed and returned no later than Friday, Feb. 25. Forms may be downloaded from at www.gilroyassistanceleague.org. Feb. 26

Rotary Blood Drive
• The Gilroy Sunrise Rotary Club will host a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gilroy Veterans Hall, 74 W. 6th St. For more information or to make an appointment, sign up at redcrossblood.org. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.
