Line Dancing

Grief Counseling

Parkinson’s Support Group
• This monthly meeting supports persons and caregivers affected by Parkinson’s disease. The group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Merrill Gardens in Gilroy. Details: please call (408) 691-5982.

Second, fourth Mondays

Lions Club Morgan Hill
• The Lions Club meets at Mama Mia’s, 275 E. Dunne Ave., at 7 p.m. They focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired, and many other local programs. Details: (408) 723-1018.

Tuesdays

Bingo
• Play Bingo at the Community Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Games start at 6:30 p.m.

San Martin Lions Club

Historical Museum Open
• The Gilroy Historical Museum, 195 Fifth St., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Wednesdays

Wind Symphony Meets
• The Morgan Hill Wind Symphony meets from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Grace Hill Church, 16970 DeWitt Ave., Morgan Hill. Bring your instrument and join the group. Details: www.mhws.org.

First Wednesday

Flower Lovers Meet
• The Morgan Hill Flower Lovers is having an open invitation for potential members interested in perfecting their knowledge of gardening. They meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Community & Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

South Valley Wood Workers

Embroiderers Guild of America
• The Gavilan Hills Chapter seeks new members. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Proof of vaccination required. Masks worn indoors. The mission of the EGA is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.

Duplicate Bridge

Women in Touch ll

Horsemen Meet

Running Group, Club Run
• The South Valley Running Club is hosting a group run at 8 a.m. Various distances. All levels are welcome. Membership is not required. Details: www.svrchome.org.

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are now open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

July 23

Rock and Roll Dance
• Come and join the fun from 7 to 10 p.m., at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey St. Dance to the sounds of Left Channel which plays covers and originals. Wear your ’50s and ’60s outfits or come as you are. $5 at the door. All ages welcome.

July 30

Library Plans
• You are invited to learn about the Santa Clara County Library District’s progress on the new strategic plan at 10:30 a.m., at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St., or online at Friday, July 29 at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Register to attend: sccld.org/StrategicPlan. Hear their proposed mission and vision statements and share what priorities are most important to you.

Free Park Day
• In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Park Charter Fund, Santa Clara County Parks is offering free admission to all Santa Clara County Parks July 30. ‘Paws With Patriots’
• The 11th Annual Operation Freedom Paws “Paws with Patriots” Wine Gala takes place from 5 to 10 p.m., at the OFP Canine Education Center in San Martin. Enjoy dinner, wine, auctions and live music with the OFP Allstars featuring Bay Area favorite Mikey Day. Radio personality Jona Denz-Hamilton and Gilroy Chamber of Commerce President Mark Turner will host the event. Individual tickets are $100, a VIP table is $1,250. Aug. 20

Garden Railroad Tour
• The Bay Area Garden Railway Society and South County Railroaders invite the public to the Garden Tour to benefit St. Joseph’s Center. Visit five stunning model railways running through some of the most spectacular backyard gardens from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please help those in need by bringing a non-perishable food item to donate at any of the layouts you visit.
