Line Dancing

Lions Club Morgan Hill

Wind Symphony Meets

Armchair Theologians
• Armchair Theologians (Church Book Club) of Gilroy United Methodist Church is reading the book “Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood” by Trevor Noah. Embroiderers Guild of America

Running Group, Club Run

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.
Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Certified Farmers’ Market brings together farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft event was added with fun educational projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, accessed via Butterfield Boulevard.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Now through Nov. 6
Pumpkin Patch
• Spina Farms offers a year-round farm-stand store and transforms into a pumpkin patch that is open seven days a week (weather permitting) and their hours fluctuate throughout the season. They are located at 225 Laguna Ave., Morgan Hill. Admission free, and attraction tickets can be purchased on-site. Activities are about $5 – $10 each. Parking is free weekdays and $10 cash Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

After-Hours Mixer
• This month’s mixer is sponsored by The Neon Exchange and takes place from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at 7365 Monterey Road. Dress up or bring a new or gently used Halloween costume to donate to a Gilroy child in need. Don’t forget to bring your business cards and a raffle prize.

ROV Welcomes Public
• Members of the public are invited to attend the County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters’ Media Day event from 9 a.m. to noon, at 1555 Berger Drive, Building 2, San Jose. The event will be held to inform the public about the upcoming election, redistricting, how to vote at a Vote Center, and what measures are in place to ensure secure and accessible elections.
Coffee & Commerce
• The October Coffee and Commerce will be held from 7 to 8:15 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Gilroy, 6070 Monterey St. Join fellow chamber members for a morning of networking and community updates. Ribbon Cutting
• A ribbon-cutting and open house will be held to welcome Mod Movers to Gilroy, from 4 to 6 p.m., at 8880 Forest St. Enjoy music, food, wine, raffles, and more, and learn about one of the top moving companies in Northern California that provides a wide range of residential and commercial moving services throughout the Golden State. Oktoberfest at Guglielmo
• Featuring the finest in beer and food, an Oktoberfest Festival is being held under the big tent at the Guglielmo Winery from 5 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by the Morgan Hill council of the Knights of Columbus, it features the internationally acclaimed band the “Internationals.” A meal of bratwurst, German potato salad and red cabbage is followed by apple strudel dessert. The festival’s primary focus is to raise funds for educational scholarships for students in Morgan Hill and Gilroy schools. Veterans Day Parade
• Community organizations, businesses, schools and clubs are encouraged to apply to participate in the Gilroy Veterans Day Parade at 1 p.m. The parade theme is “Remember Everyone Deployed and All Who Served.” The entry rules and conditions, as well as the application, are available at www.GilroyVeteransHall.org under community events/Veterans Day 2022).
