Parkinson’s Support Group

Lions Club Morgan Hill
• The Lions Club meets at Mama Mia’s, 275 E. Dunne Ave., at 7 p.m. They focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired, and other programs. Details: (408) 723-1018.

Bingo
• At the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., games start at 6:30 p.m.

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study
• Join others for meditation and inspiration from the Yoga Sutras, a foundational yoga and meditation text, from 1 to 2 p.m., 8347 Church St. New and experienced students welcome. Embroiderers Guild of America

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions to the museum. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Second Saturday

Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Learn more: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Home/Garden Tour & Boutique
• The Gilroy Assistance League will hold their annual Home + Garden Tour & Boutique from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is the major fundraiser for the Gilroy Assistance League. Both Friday and Saturday, check-in at the first house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Upon check-in, ticket holders will receive a program with descriptions of the homes and a map with the locations of all the homes on tour. Learn About Growing Culinary Herbs in Your Garden
• Learn how to grow beautiful fragrant culinary herbs. Herb varieties, planting, care, and pests will be discussed. Many culinary herbs are very easy to grow. Not only are they attractive, but they can also attract beneficial insects and pollinators to your garden. They will cover basic requirements of popular annual and perennial herbs. The class takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St.

Book Sale
• The Friends of Gilroy Library will hold their monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the library, 350 W. Sixth St. Books are $5 per bag for members and $8 per bag for non-members. DVDs and CDs are also on sale. The Isabel Jewell Bookstore is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; from 1 to 4 p.m., Wednesday; from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

Wellness Fair
• The St. Louise Regional Hospital Wellness Fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the main entrance to the hospital, 9400 No Name Uno. It features hospital services, public safety, environmental health, public health, live entertainment, raffles, children’s activities, and more.

AAUW Lunch
• The Gilroy Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will have a get-acquainted lunch at 11:30 a.m. If you have a bachelor’s or associate degree and want to meet others who may share your interests and values, this is the time and place. They support equality in education, careers and civil rights. The salad luncheon for current and prospective members will be held in Gilroy. • Visit the annual Woodland Estates Parking Lot Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 850 W. Middle Ave.

San Martin Horsemen
• The San Martin Horsemen’s Association meets from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Longhouse Restaurant in Gilroy. Arrive at 6 p.m. to order dinner on your own before the meeting begins. Details: www.smhorse.org.

MH Mushroom Benefit Concert
• Enjoy a night of music, dancing, food and drinks under the stars at the Morgan Hill Downtown Amphitheater. This concert benefits scholarships for local students. Shane Dwight plays from 5:30 to 7 p.m., the Joe Sharino Band from 7:45 to 9:45 p.m. Tickets are $75 each, $70 for four or more, or $65 for eight or more. Ticket includes a drink and a meal ticket. Scan the QR code on the ad on the next page (16). Event is for those 21 and older, no in-and-out privileges. Beer, wine and champagne for sale. No outside food or drinks. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., tables available for seating or bring a blanket and chairs.

Music, Food and Friends
• The Day on the Ridge is back from 2 to 10 p.m. in Eagle Ridge, Gilroy. Proceeds of this five-band music event benefits St. Joseph’s Family Center, a charity with a mission to alleviate hunger and homelessness in southern Santa Clara County by providing food, housing, and employment-related services. The stellar line-up also includes Hollywood U2, Fleetwood Mask, Whelan Stone, and Lori Morvan.
