Parkinson’s Support Group

Lions Club Morgan Hill

Bingo

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m. at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.

Gilroy Museum
• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Learn more: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Ramayana on Stage
• Join Hanuman, the monkeys, Prince Rama and Prince Lakshmana, as they journey to Lanka in their quest to rescue Princess Sita in the 44th Mount Madonna School “Ramayana!” — a musical theater production adapted for modern audiences and replete with lively action, dazzling costumes, humor and universal life lessons. “Ramayana!” returns to the stage to entertain audiences at the Mexican Heritage Theater in San Jose. All seats are reserved and tickets are available at mountmadonnaschool.org/ramayana. The production features a cast of students ranging from preschool to high school, and includes traditional and contemporary music and features an adult choir and musicians, with more than a dozen original, standout songs.

June 10

Book Sale
• The Friends of the Gilroy Library will hold their monthly book sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library, 350 W. Sixth St. Books are $5 per bag for members and $8 per bag for non-members. The Isabel Jewell Bookstore is open from 1 to 3 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

Fun Run and Walk
• The Hunting Hollow 5k/10k Fun Run and Walk takes place at 8:30 a.m. at Henry Coe State Park. It is a relatively flat dirt road that occasionally cross a creek. Proceeds used by the Pine Ridge Association to fund projects for Coe Park. Details: www.coepark.net/hh5k10k.

Meditation Workshop
• “Beyond Worry: Being at Peace with the Unknown” mindfulness meditation workshop takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morgan Hill House, Villa Mira Monte, 17860 Monterey Road. Led by James Morrison, who was a Buddhist monk for more than 30 years. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners; includes the basics of sitting, walking and eating meditation.
