Susan spent as much time outdoors as possible

Susan Carolyn Frantzich (Valentine), 65, passed away in Gilroy, July 18, 2023. She was out on her bike, and as an avid bicyclist and hiker, her family and friends take comfort in knowing she left this world doing something she loved.

A 45-year resident of Gilroy, Susan was born in Cambridge, England and grew up in Winterbourne, near Bristol in the UK. After raising her sons until they were school-aged, Susan spent two decades working in the Gilroy dental industry, for Dr. Hoover and Dr. Sarhaddi, DDS.

When not working or managing the household, Susan spent as much time outdoors as possible. A regular at Harvey Bear Mendoza Ranch County Park and Henry W. Coe State Park, she was well known by the locals who frequented these parks.

Known for her caring heart, Susan had a deep love for her family and animals, which was evident by how she doted on her many cats and dogs over the years. Susan is survived by her husband Kevin, sons Josh (Shira) and Jared (Jessica), beloved grandchildren Ella, Colin, Aiden and Austin, sister Angela and niece Ellen of England, and a large extended family that she loved dearly.
