Line Dancing

Parkinson’s Support Group

Lions Club Morgan Hill

Bingo
• Games played at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., games begin at 6:30 p.m.

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study

Running Group, Club Run

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m. at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.

• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Learn more: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Dia De Los Muertos
• Visit an exhibit featuring more than 30 altars as families come together to honor their departed loved ones and celebrate the eternal bond between the living and the deceased at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey Highway. The center is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Free parking. A reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the center.

Oct. 14

Growing Vegetables
• Learn how to grow a successful and productive vegetable garden from fall through spring from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St. Find out how many cool season vegetables are easy to grow. Soil preparation, watering, fertilizing, disease and pest management will also be discussed.

OFP Annual Bowling Event
• Whether you like to bowl for fun or competitively, this event is right up your alley. It benefits the Operation Freedom Paws and lifesaving service dog teams. It takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Bowl. The cost is $38 for three games for both fun and tournament play. Cioppino/Pasta Feast
• The 19th Annual Morgan Hill Kiwanis Cioppino and Pasta Feast Fundraiser takes place beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour followed by the feast from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Buddhist Community Center, 16450 Murphy Ave. Cioppino tickets are $100 each or $180 a couple, $120 at the door if available. Pasta tickets are $50 each or $90 a couple, $60 at the door if available. Get tickets at www.morganhillkiwanis.org or call (408) 659-0350. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Youth Fund.

Food Truck Fly-In
• The Santa Clara County Airports, South County Airport Pilots Association and Gilroy Rotary Club present the Food Truck Fly-In at the San Martin Airport from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 13030 Murphy Ave., San Martin. Admission is free and the day includes aircraft flyovers, live music, food truck fare, wine and beer garden, aircrafts on display, RC airshow, skydiving, classic car show, aviation museum and a raffle.

Learn to Build Garden Bed
• At this Master Gardener’s class participants will learn how to build a raised garden bed. The session will cover types of materials used for various raised beds, placement of a raised bed, and initial filling of the bed. The talk will conclude with the walk-thru of constructing a wooden raised bed. It takes place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the conference room across from the South County Teaching and Demonstration Garden, 80 Highland Ave., San Martin. Presented by UCCE Master Gardener Glenn Lattig.
