Line Dancing

Grief Counseling

Parkinson’s Support Group

Lions Club Morgan Hill
• The Lions Club meets at Mama Mia’s, 275 E. Dunne Ave., at 7 p.m. They focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired, and other programs. Details: (408) 723-1018.

Bingo
• Games played at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., games begin at 6:30 p.m.

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study

Running Group, Club Run

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St. at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.

Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.

Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m. at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.

• The Gilroy Museum has added hours and is now open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown hosted by the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Learn more: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Kidz Fest & Trick-or-Treat
• Downtown Morgan Hill invites all South Valley families to enjoy the Halloween-inspired activities, a kids’ area with outdoor games, and a lounge area with picnic tables and outdoor seating.

La Ofrenda Festival
• The inaugural Dia de los Muertos celebration and wellness fair will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown Gilroy. Vibrant altars, a community bike ride, music performances, and local artistry celebrate the bonds between the living an deceased in this Latino cultural event. Mattress Sale Fundraiser
• The Sobrato High School and Martin Murphy Middle Schools extracurricular band programs fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the high school, 401 Burnett Ave. Twins from $199, full from $229, queen from $299 and king from $399. Jazz at Gavilan
• The Sobrato High School Jazz Band with the Dahveed Behroozi Quartet featuring trumpeter Mike Olmos takes place at 7 p.m. at the Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. Tickets are $25, free for students and available at bit.ly/gavjazznov2.

Have Coffee with Mayor Marie
• Have coffee with Mayor Marie Blankley at 9:30 a.m. in the council chambers, 7351 Rosanna St. She will discuss code enforcement, types of complaints, how they respond and obstacles to enforcement.

Free Gardening Class
• Learn how to grow onions, shallots, leeks and garlic from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at the South County Teaching and Demonstration Garden, 80 Highland Ave., San Martin. These are easy to grow winter crops, even for the beginning gardener, if you follow a few basic tips. You will also plant seeds to bring home for your own garden. Presented by UCCE Master Gardeners of South County.

Nov. 4 & 5

Christmas at Villa Mira Monte
• The 29th Holiday Boutique at Villa Mira Monte takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Morgan Hill House, 17860 Monterey Road. The free event includes holiday gifts and treasures, fabric and crocheted bags, honey, antique tea cups, lavender, custom jewelry, cards, woodworking, paper crafts, furnishings, wine charms, baskets, dolls, aprons, spinners, tumblers, ornaments, spider art and three Christmas tree raffles. It benefits the Morgan Hill Historical Society’s programs to enhance the community’s knowledge of its history and by being the keeper of Villa Mira Monte, a beautiful property that houses The Morgan Hill House (the historic registered 1884 Victorian home), The Morgan Hill Museum (the 1911 home of the Acton family), The 2006 Centennial History Trail (a landscaped spiral of 100 of the most important events in Morgan Hill’s and the nation’s history) and the Rose Gardens.
