Line Dancing

Grief Counseling

Al-Anon Meeting

Newcomer Meeting
• For anyone who is new to Al-Anon, meet from 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. then the main meeting begins at 7 p.m., at Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave., Morgan Hill. Al-Anon members are people who are worried about someone with a drinking problem. Details: www.al-anon.org
Learn About Scouts
• Scout Troops 799 and 2799 invite interested boys and girls ages 10 1/2 to 17 to join them to learn important scout skills, leadership, good citizenship, and to have some fun. Meetings are held at 7:15 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Hill Church, 16970 Dewitt Ave.
Second Monday
Parkinson’s Support Group
• Supports those affected by Parkinson’s disease, including family members and caretakers. Group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m., at Merrill Gardens in Gilroy. Details: please call (408) 691-5982.
Dementia Support Group for Caregivers
• Group meets from 11 to 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave., and is a free, with no reservations required and for non-professional caregivers. It is a safe space to speak about the challenges faced and everything is kept confidential. Do not bring the person you are caring for to the meeting.

Bingo

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study

Wings of History
• The San Martin Wings of History Museum is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, at 1277 Murphy Ave. There is a collection of exhibits which span the history of aviation from a replica of the Wright Flyer to a prototype Kittyhawk Heavyside H2 (experimental, unmanned aircraft). Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St., at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.
Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.
Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.
Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m., at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.
Weekly Bike Ride
• Join others at 8 a.m., for a 22-mile bike ride. Meet at Off the Chain bike shop, 101 McCray St., #101, Hollister. They ride out Santa Ana Road to Tres Pinos. Downtown Walking Tours

Daughters of the Amer. Revolution

Art Exhibit and Celebration
• Visit an Art Exhibit and Celebration of African American Art at the Gilroy Center for the Arts, 7341 Monterey Highway. The exhibit features the art of Louise Shields; the Steven Pattie Collection of Black Folk Art featuring Jimmie Lee Sudduth, Mose Tolliver, and Lonie Holley.

A Legacy of Laughter
• As part of the South County Lifelong Learning Series Whitney Pintello will share how her family opened the Pintello Comedy Theater with the mission of bringing meaningful productions and lots of laughter to the community, and walk through the Pintello family’s creative process to bring each production successfully to the stage. Presented by the Morgan Hill Senior Advisory Committee the talk takes place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.

Winter Book Sale
• The Friends of the Morgan Hill Library Book Sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the MH Library Program Room, 660 W. Main Ave. Friends members and those who join from 9 to 10 a.m. that day may enter the Early Preview before 10 a.m. Members also receive half off any book each month in the Friends Bookstore at the library. At the sale, children’s books are 10 cents. Other books and media for all ages are $1 or less, with some special sets included. Great Train Show
• Visit more than 200 tables of trains for sale,
exhibitors from across the country, a huge operating model train display, free workshops and demonstrations and a free test track to test run your trains at the show Plus much more. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds, 344 Tully Road, San Jose.
Feb. 26
Join a Dance Team
• The community-based Chiqlets Dance Team is having an orientation meeting for new members from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. at the Morgan Hill Library Community Room, 350 W. Main Ave. Led by Chiquy Mejia, the group performs at events around town such as the July 3 Street Dance, 50+ Ball at CCC, Friday Night Music, Neighborhood Night Out, and Magical Bridge Playground. Raincoats and Rubber Boots
• The annual event that allows children and adults to play, hike, and float a boat or rubber duck (provided) in a creek at Henry W. Coe State Park, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Go on a scavenger hunt, learn about plants animals and rocks. Bring shorts and T-shirts (depending on the weather), lunch, snacks, drinks, towels and dry clothes for the ride home. Kids, bring your bikes and helmets (a few loaners will be available) and ride the mountain biking challenge course. The event is free, but there is a $6 parking fee. Bring exact amount. Robotics Competition
• Dubbed a varsity sport for the mind this robotics competition combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. It kicks off at 9 a.m., at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. Under strict rules, limited resources and time constraints, teams of high school students raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, build and program a robot to compete. It’s as close to “real world” engineering as a student can get. Each year this multinational competition reaches nearly 100,000 students in competitions held across the world.
March 3
SMMA Fundraiser
• Donate unwanted clothes, books, electronics, small appliances, and exercise equipment in any condition from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sobrato High School Parking lot. No items more than 40 lbs. The tax-deductible donations benefit the Sobrato Murphy Music Association.
