Celebrating Norman Bracco

It is with immense heartache that we announce Norman Bracco’s sudden passing. A cherished husband, father and friend, he lived a fulfilling life on his beloved ranch in Morgan Hill. An ardent animal lover, his dogs — especially his favorite rescue, Ali — always held a special place in his heart.

Known for his kind heart, vibrant laugh and love of sports, Norman left an indelible mark as the captain of Gilroy High School’s football team as a teenager, and his appreciation of adventure and challenge never diminished.

Norman’s rich and adventurous lifelong journey was greatly enriched by his loving marriage to Roxanne, and he cherished their life together for more than 50 years. Norman and Roxanne enjoyed shared passions for traveling, dining out, and taking memorable trips to Las Vegas.

He showed unparalleled dedication and devotion to his family, including daughter Marci, celebrating her successes and offering wise counsel, support and humor throughout the years — especially during their weekly Sunday phone calls.

Norman was deeply committed to his successful industrial business, R.M. Bracco, Inc., in Hollister, and led it for more than 40 years. In work and at home, he was a great mentor and friend who emphasized the importance of working hard for what you want and honoring your word.

In retirement, he relished playing cards in Las Vegas, spending time on his ranch, watching sports, and enjoying dinners with friends and family.

Norman’s philosophy was to live life to the fullest and cherish every day. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral or celebration of life. Instead, he wanted everyone to remember him in their own special way — by recalling a favorite memory, sharing a laugh, playing a game of cards, or raising a glass in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Norman’s memory and his love of animals are encouraged to donate to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue. Donations can be sent to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 51554, Pacific Grove, CA 93950 (Tax ID: 27-1154816). His spirit and legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him, and he will live on in all of our hearts forever.
