Line Dancing

Grief Counseling

Al-Anon Meeting

Newcomer Meeting
• For anyone who is new to Al-Anon, meet from 6:30 to 6:50 p.m. then the main meeting begins at 7 p.m., at Advent Lutheran Church, 16870 Murphy Ave., Morgan Hill. Al-Anon members are people who are worried about someone with a drinking problem. Details: www.al-anon.org
Learn About Scouts
• Scout Troops 799 and 2799 invite interested boys and girls ages 10 1/2 to 17 to join them to learn important scout skills, leadership, good citizenship, and to have some fun. Meetings are held at 7:15 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Hill Church, 16970 Dewitt Ave.
Second Monday
Parkinson’s Support Group
• Supports those affected by Parkinson’s disease, including family members and caretakers. Group meets from 1:30 to 3 p.m., at Merrill Gardens in Gilroy. Details: please call (408) 691-5982.
Dementia Support Group for Caregivers
• Group meets from 11 to 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 171 W. Edmundson Ave., and is free, with no reservations required and for non-professional caregivers. It is a safe space to speak about the challenges faced and everything is kept confidential. Do not bring the person you are caring for to the meeting.

Bingo

Meditation, Yoga Sutra Study

Wings of History
• The San Martin Wings of History Museum is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, at 1277 Murphy Ave. There is a collection of exhibits which span the history of aviation from a replica of the Wright Flyer to a prototype Kittyhawk Heavyside H2 (experimental, unmanned aircraft). Veteran Benefit Days
• The Gilroy Veterans Memorial Hall, 74 W. Running Group, Club Run

Morning Bike Ride
• Weekly co-ed, no-drop ride averaging 25 miles. Meet at Bike Therapy, 17540 Depot St., at 7:30 a.m. in Morgan Hill. Road bike and drop handlebars required.
Farmers’ Market
• The Morgan Hill Farmers’ Market unites farmers, food producers and consumers from Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and Hollister from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Third and Depot streets. A family-friendly Kids Craft is included with fun projects to delight all ages. Parking is available at the Caltrain depot, via Butterfield Boulevard.
Tour Morgan Hill Museum
• The Morgan Hill Museum and Hiram Morgan Hill House are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with docents giving tours. Learn about the city’s history and see some new additions. The Villa Mira Monte grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the Centennial History Trail and the rose garden at leisure.
Gilroy Ukulele Jam
• Meets at 8:30 a.m., at Cafe 152 Bread Co., 60 4th St., corner of 4th & Eigleberry streets, Gilroy. All levels of players welcome. Play and sing and have fun. Don’t be shy and don’t wait.
Weekly Bike Ride
• Join others at 8 a.m., for a 22-mile bike ride. Meet at Off the Chain bike shop, 101 McCray St., #101, Hollister. They ride out Santa Ana Road to Tres Pinos. Downtown Walking Tours
• Enjoy a free historic tour of downtown Morgan Hill hosted by ambassadors from the Morgan Hill Historical Society from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Morgan Hill Parking Garage (3rd Street off Monterey Road). No reservations required. Details: www.morganhillhistoricalsociety.org.
Daughters of the Amer. Revolution
• Members from Hollister, Gilroy, San Juan Bautista and Morgan Hill meet at 10 a.m. (through May). Garlicky Group of Poets
• This group meets from 3:30 to 5 p.m., at the Gilroy Library, 350 W. Sixth St. Come and read your favorite poems or just listen in as others read. All levels are always welcome.

Gardening for Pollinators
• Pollinators and beneficials, such as birds and insects need help. One way we can help is to plant gardens of flowering plants that produce both flowers and seeds to sustain these organisms. Gardeners must also consider drought and higher temperatures in their planting plans. Native and non-native plants will be discussed and demonstrated during an outdoor workshop presented by the UCCE Master Gardeners from 10 a.m. to noon at the South County Teaching and Demonstration Garden, 80 Highland Ave. You will be able to pot and take home a perennial plant. Rain cancels.

Sendoff Concert
• Ann Sobrato High School’s Wind Ensemble band will perform their spring concert at 7 p.m., including the set they’ll play at Carnegie Hall in New York, (on their upcoming trip, March 25). The free show takes place at the school.

San Martin Horsemen Meet

OFP Community Easter Egg Hunt
• Easter is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Entry is free, so bring the whole family to enjoy some springtime fun and games, a bouncy house, face painting, and of course, our annual Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Operation Freedom Paws Canine Education Center, 13930 Llagas Ave., San Martin. The cost is $7 for children 10 and younger to participate in the egg hunt and they are hatching up some great prizes. And who can forget their very special guest, the Easter Bunny. OFP Pasta Feed
• This fundraiser for Operation Freedom Paws is always a great event. It takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Old City Hall Restaurant, 7400 Monterey Highway. The cost is $45 and tickets are available at https://2024ofppasta.givesmart.com. OFP’s is a nonprofit that matches life-saving service dogs with veterans, first responders, children, and other individuals with disabilities as well as provide other critical resources and support at no cost to them.

Seed and Plant Sale & More
• The South Valley Fleurs Garden Clubs annual heirloom vegetable seedlings, perennial plants and annuals sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Morgan Hill Community Center, at the corner of Dunne Avenue and Monterey Road. They will also have a variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers and crafts for sale. South Valley Fleurs is a nonprofit, educational service organization affiliated with California Garden Clubs, In. and the National Garden Club, Inc. All funds raised from this sale go to EduGrow, a plant-to-learn, a program that offers grants to youth groups and teachers who want to include gardening in their curriculum. We maintain gardens in Hollister, Gilroy and Morgan Hill.

Art ala Carte
• Calling all young Jedi and Padawans to join others for an out-of-this-world arts & crafts event ‘May the 4th Be With You’! Don’t miss this intergalactic arts & crafts adventure that takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the downtown amphitheater at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road. The free arts and crafts event is for children ages 2 to 10 and will include theme-related free hands-on arts and crafts projects generously provided by local businesses and organizations to ensure children have a wonderful and creative time. Bonus features include a CalFire truck, police educational car, food trucks, an hour-long cultural program, and an art exhibit featuring works of the winners and all 92 participants of the Morgan Hill United Against Hate Youth Poster Contest.
